Churches Removed from ECC Roster

PHOENIX, AZ (June 24, 2016) — Twenty churches from six conferences were removed from denominational membership this morning during the 131st Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

CENTRAL CONFERENCE

Emmaus Covenant Church, Arlington Heights, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 1995 and had 50 members when it closed.

Agape Community Covenant Church, Chicago, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 2003 and had 50 members when it withdrew.

Antioch Korean Covenant Church, Des Plaines, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 1991 and had 21 members when it closed.

Korean Ark Covenant Church, Morton Grove, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 1985 and had 13 members when it closed.

Damascus Korean Covenant Church, Mt. Prospect, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 1996 and had 10 members when it withdrew.

Christian Vision Korean Covenant Church, Northbrook, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 2009 and had 10 members when it closed.

Hallelujah Korean Covenant Church, Northbrook, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 1991 and had 23 members when it closed.

Evergreen Evangelical Covenant Church, Rockford, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 1957 and had 15 members when it closed.

Evangelical Covenant Church, Villa Park, Illinois
The church joined the Covenant in 1956 and had 20 members at the time of its merger.

MIDSOUTH CONFERENCE

Grace Covenant Church, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
The church joined the Covenant in 2003 and had 40 members when it closed.

MIDWEST CONFERENCE

IgniteKC.tv, Olathe, Kansas
The church joined the Covenant in 1997 and had 115 members when it closed.

NORTHWEST CONFERENCE

True Light Covenant Church, Minneapolis, Minnesota
The church joined the Covenant in 2007 and had 25 members when it closed.

The Compass Covenant Church, St. Paul, Minnesota
The church joined the Covenant in 2010 and had 15 members when it closed.

PACIFIC NORTHWEST CONFERENCE

Summit View Covenant Church, Beaverton, Oregon
The church joined the Covenant in 2000 and had three members at the time of merger.

Community Covenant Church, Portland, Oregon
The church joined the Covenant in 1951 and had nine members when it closed.

Vibrant Covenant Church, Portland, Oregon
The church joined the Covenant in 2004. The number of members was n/a at the time of closure.

Harvard Covenant Church, Tacoma, Washington
The church joined the Covenant in 1951. The number of members was n/a at the time of merger.

PACIFIC SOUTHWEST CONFERENCE

Newsong Church, Irvine, California
The church joined the Covenant in 1998 and had 530 members when it withdrew.

Nuevas de Gozo (Glad Tidings Church), Lennox, California
The church joined the Covenant in 2003 and had 150 members when it withdrew.

Shepherd of the Hills Covenant Church, Shingle Springs, California
The church joined the Covenant in 2010 and had 50 members when it closed.
