 Google Search Thinks Barbie is Most Important CEO
Do a Google image search for “CEO” and then wonder are there any Hispanic, African-American, or female CEOs. Take a guess at how many white men appear before the first female image shows up. Keep scrolling. Keep scrolling. That’s right, keep scrolling. The Verge highlights a new University of Washington study that says search engine results can influence the way people view various jobs. And the Barbie isn’t even a real Barbie. Be sure to follow the link to the study preview. The search results look pretty much the same on Yahoo, but at least the first female is isn’t a fake toy.
