Annual Meeting Early Registration Deadline Extended

CHICAGO, IL (May 8, 2012) – The early registration deadline has been extended for this year’s Annual Meeting June 21-24 in Irvine, California, providing additional opportunity for those planning to attend to take advantage of special early registration pricing.

Discounted rates are available for delegates, general conferees, retired pastors and students from CHET and North Park Theological Seminary who register by May 25. The previous deadline was May 4.

The extension was granted in part as a courtesy to those trying to arrange travel schedules, especially those with children, as well as those who may still be awaiting approval for vacation time requests at their places of work.

This year’s venue offers a variety of exciting opportunities for those bringing families to the meeting – Irvine is often described as the gateway to an authentic Southern California vacation. Visitors can enjoy golf, miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding trails, shopping, arts, culture, diverse dining, and a variety of seasonal events, as well as the city’s close proximity to the area’s popular beaches and dozens of entertainment attractions, including the world-famous Disneyland theme park.

The Annual Meeting schedule likewise includes a variety of events and learning opportunities, including peer group discussions for church chairs, treasurers, and those attendees who are new to the Annual Meeting experience. Five workshops will focus on the Covenant’s five mission priorities: start and strengthen churches, make and deepen disciples, develop leaders, love mercy-do justice, and serve globally.

Three ministry site visits have been arranged, but require advance registration. They include the new CHET facility, which trains Hispanic pastors; Fountain of Life Covenant Church, a relatively new church plant; and Newsong Covenant located in Irvine.

Click here to register online and take advantage of the special pricing before May 25. More information about the meeting, the schedule of activities – including the business sessions – and speakers also are available on the Annual Meeting website.
