In the insurance office, Peter is involved with everything—from talking with clients to entering data into the computer. It’s no different on the farm, where he markets crops and livestock, drives tractors, and feeds cattle. He’s quick to point out he couldn’t do it all without his family. “I really don’t consider farming work,” he says. “I love it so much, I look forward to it every day. I enjoy seeing God’s creation first hand, from planting seeds and watching them grow to seeing newborn calves frolic and play in the pasture.”
Peter serves on the church council and is a volunteer youth leader and an enthusiastic supporter of the Food Resource Bank. He is involved in a growing project that raises funds for overseas agricultural programs among smallholder farmers and has traveled to Central African Republic to learn how the local NGO works with farmers.
