CHICAGO, IL (November 7, 2012) – The Hindustani Covenant Church (HCC) has contributed $3,000 for Covenant World Relief (CWR) to assist survivors of Hurricane Sandy in New York City.
“We are very sorry for the Hurricane Sandy and we are praying for the victims who are suffering,” the HCC moderator wrote in an email to David Husby, CWR director. “In this situation, we are proud that CWR is working for these victims. We would like to request you please except our small contribution of $3,000 for this noble cause.”
Husby said this morning that, “Considering the Hindustani Covenant Church’s limited resources and the tremendous needs that exist in their areas of ministry, this is an amazing gesture of love and compassion.”

I have not seen anything about what CWR is doing in regards to Sandy. Did I miss it or has anything been published yet?
Editor’s note: A November 2 article “CWR, Conference Partner to Help Storm Victims” details Covenant World Relief’s response, with more information to be shared as it becomes available.
