CHICAGO, IL (September 9, 2016) – The Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) is seeking a director of congregational vitality. The position works closely with regional conferences to identify, shape, sharpen, and employ congregational vitality strategies and efforts throughout the denomination to sustain healthy missional congregations.

The position is located within the Start and Strengthen mission priority of the ECC, and reports to its executive minister. The position additionally collaborates with other ECC mission priorities to resource the ongoing development of congregations. The other ECC mission priorities are Make and Deepen Disciples, Love Mercy Do Justice, Develop Leaders, and Serve Globally.

A candidate will be identified in the fourth quarter of 2016, with the position commencing on a mutually acceptable date. Relocation to Covenant Offices is required as is membership in an ECC church. Extensive travel is expected.
