CHICAGO, IL (December 10, 2015) — Christmas is supposed to be a joyful time, but there are oh so many moments when it is anything but.

For example, it is sad that “Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer,” but it’s even sadder that we have to keep hearing about this tragedy every Christmas season—over and over and over.

It may be one of the most annoying Christmas songs ever. But many others are competing for that distinction. Perhaps for you it’s “Santa Baby” or “The Twelve Days of Christmas.” Or maybe it’s a particular version of a song that might drive a person to cover their ears and scream to no one in particular, “Make it stop! Please make it stop!” These might include David Hasselhoff or Alvin and the Chipmunks singing “The Christmas Song.”
