We’ve all heard about ministries to athletes, but who knew there was one designated for umpires? ESPN has a great story accompanied by wonderful photographs. The story is much better than the subhead (which I love anyway): “Pastor Dean has baptized 66 professional umpires, calling them safe in the only way that matters.”
So the next time you’re tempted to bash the Disney parks, remember this—or do an online search for religious theme parks.
Alas, another story about millennials and how they’re just not conforming to the rest of us, while at the same time they’re changing culture in unexpected ways. Re-urbanization is leading to a major decline in auto sales among young adults. What might that mean for suburban churches?
Why is it that there are so few women in science and technology fields? Perhaps it’s because we tell them in many subtle ways that they shouldn’t be.
