CHICAGO, IL (April 16, 2014) — We often don’t hesitate to come to God with our questions. But how much do we take the time to consider the numerous questions God asks of us throughout Scripture? He asks, not because he doesn’t know the answer of course, but rather to lead us to reflect on our lives and communities.
As a way of inviting that contemplation and prayer during this season of Lent, the Department of Communication is publishing photographs and images of artwork created by Covenanters. Each week has focused on a question God asks his people. In this final week, we pose two questions, both of which record the words of Jesus in John 20:15: “Why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” In addition to submitting works that respond to those questions, photographers and artists offered pieces that reflected scenes of the events of Holy Week.
