CHICAGO, IL (March 27, 2013) – The Evangelical Covenant Church has a limited number of discounted registrations available for the Christian Community Development Association National Conference, which will be held September 11-14 in New Orleans.
The registration discounts will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Anyone interested in the discounts should email Chrissy Palmerlee in the Department of Compassion, Mercy, and Justice.
Palmerlee said only people who definitely plan to attend the conference should request the discounts due to the limited number that are available.
The Covenant has been a close partner with the Christian Community Development Association (CCDA), with many of the denomination’s leaders either speaking or facilitating workshops. Workshop leaders have yet to be set for the coming conference.
The Covenant also plans to host a gathering during the CCDA conference similar to past years, Palmerlee says. Information about the gathering will be sent at a later date.
Palmerlee encourages Covenanters to join the organization and notes that the CCDA has changed it membership structure in recent years – individuals may now join for free.
Churches and ministries can become organizational members of CCDA for a small charge. Oftentimes, a church or ministry can save money overall by becoming an organizational member because of the discount on conference registrations for member organizations, Palmerlee says.
More information about membership can be found on the CCDA website. For questions about the organization or discounted registrations, call 773-784-3000 and ask for the Department of Compassion, Mercy and Justice, or email Palmerlee.
