Six Churches Removed from Membership Roster

ESTES PARK, CO (June 29, 2011) – Six churches from six conferences were removed from denominational membership during the 126th Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church.

The churches, grouped by conference, are as follows:

Central Conference

Korean Central Covenant Church in Northbrook, Illinois, merged. The congregation joined the Covenant in 1966 and most recently had 20 members.

East Coast Conference

Calvary Covenant Church in Cranston, Rhode Island, closed. The church was organized in 1895 and most recently had 20 members.

Trinity Covenant Church in Plainville, Connecticut, closed. The church joined the denomination in 1895 and most recently had 57 members.

Covenant Congregational Church in Waltham, Massachusetts, closed. It most recently had 40 members. The church was founded in 1888.

North Pacific Conference

Tapestry Covenant Church in Tacoma,Washington, closed. The congregation joined the Covenant in 2001 and most recently had 35 members.

Pacific Southwest Conference

Vida Abundante Covenant Church in Sacramento, California, withdrew its membership. The congregation joined the Covenant in 2002 and most recently had 120 members.
