Amid the Olive Trees

Palestinian farmers harvesting olives are frequently attacked by Jewish settlers, which happened the week I was there. Idris (center) won the trust of Israeli soldiers, who have protected him and helped retrieve stolen items from neighboring settlers.

Andrew Larsen is a Covenant minister who also serves as a consultant in Christian-Muslim Relations with the group Peace Catalyst International. He has a special interest in the Mideast, where he tries to capture the conditions of Palestinians living in the West Bank and is planning to make a documentary in the region. The award-winning photographer’s work has appeared in National Geographic.
