Rebecca Przybylski, 35

Senior Pastor, New Harvest Christian Church
Toledo, OH

When Becky first heard about the Covenant through a colleague at seminary, it sounded like home. Their church made the decision to join the Covenant in 2008—then she knew she was home.

The biggest need she sees in the church today is that people don’t actually believe that speaking the truth in love is possible. “We have fallen prey to either/or thinking on this topic. Either we speak truth and are really inflammatory and abrasive slingers of word-knives. Or we love with a saccharine fuzzy quality that lets everything go. This issue really touches everything.”

Favorite way to waste time: Reading, creating, sharing time with a loved one
Favorite TV show: American Ninja Warrior—it’s a crowd favorite in our home.
Choose a superpower—fly or be invisible: Flying. I’ve had dreams that I could fly since I was a kid. Plus, if I was invisible and in trouble I would still have to find a way out, and what if my kids spilled or wiped ketchup on me? (That happens all too often as the mom of three boys.) Yeah, basically I’d be visible most of the time. So, I have to go with flying!
