RIDGWAY, PA (January 6, 2017) – Craig Duffield, pastor of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Ridgway, died Thursday, January 5, 2017, after an extended illness. He was 61.
Craig was born on December 18, 1955, in Sycamore, Illinois, to Dale J. and Beth Duffield. He married Jean E. McEvers on September 13, 1975. She survives.
Craig served the Ridgway congregation for the past 19 years. He received his master’s of divinity from North Park Theological Seminary.
Craig and Jean were foster parents for 30 years, and he served as a local leader for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He was a member of the Malachi and Only by Grace worship bands.
In addition to his wife, survivors include four daughters: Elaine Duffield, Katrina Duffield, Jodi Duffield, all of Ridgway, and Sophia Duffield of Viola, Delaware; three sons, Anthony Duffield, Patrick J. Duffield, and Nicholas L. Duffield, all of Ridgway, and Matthew (Melissa) Duffield of Crystal, Minnesota; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, William Duffield.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, at the Ridgway church. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, January 9.

Craig was a dedicated pastor in a small town who made a real impact for the Lord there. His generosity and kindness was legendary. He will be missed. Peace to his memory
