NEW ORLEANS, LA (September 23, 2016) – Volunteers are desperately needed to do demolition work as well as mud houses in the Baton Rouge area as residents begin the long work of recovery from the floods that overwhelmed much of the state in August.
Volunteers do not need special skills, said Dale Lusk, director of Merge, a ministry of Serve Globally.
The trip will be held November 6–11, and participants will be housed at Canal Street Covenant Church in New Orleans. Cost is $315 per person, not including transportation or optional donations for construction projects.
Interested individuals can sign up through Merge by emailing Lusk at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling him at (956) 458-9568. Registration ends on October 6.
