KICY Releases Android, iPhone Apps

NOME, AK (May 19, 2016) – KICY radio has released new apps for Android and iPhones that will enable users to stream programming.

App01There are separate apps for AM and FM programming, but both allow listeners to submit prayer requests and donate to the ministry.

The station’s AM programming is a mix of Southern gospel music, as well as praise and worship music, Native singing, and Christian teaching. The FM station plays contemporary Christian music 24 hours a day.

“In addition to the fun of listening to KICY wherever you are, we hope this app will also remind you to keep our ministry in prayer,” said Patty Burchell, KICY program director.

KICY broadcasts from Nome, Alaska, and is owned by Arctic Broadcasting Association, an affiliated corporation of the Evangelical Covenant Church. KICY serves Native Alaskan villages throughout the Seward Peninsula, Yukon and Kuskokwim Deltas, as well as the Russian regions of Chukotka, Kamchatka, and Siberia.
