CHICAGO, IL (April 18, 2016) — Serve Globally, a mission priority of the ECC, is accepting applications for the position of Director of Missional Congregations. The role works in collaboration with regional conferences to assist local Covenant congregations as they engage in intercultural mission. In addition to representing Serve Globally through teaching and preaching at local churches and events, the person hired for this role would be expected to develop resources, conduct workshops, coach mission committees, and network with other ministry partners.
The director of missional congregations helps equip local congregations for missional engagement, says Serve Globally’s executive minister Al Tizon.
“The name ‘Serve Globally’ might give the impression that we don’t have a role to play in North America, but we do,” explains Tizon. “It’s to do our part in equipping local congregations for mission ‘in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria, and the ends of the earth.’ This position will lead Serve Globally in this task as it interfaces with our conferences and local churches.”
The full job description and application information are posted online and can be downloaded.
