CHICAGO, IL (December 3, 2015) — Christian rocker Glenn Kaiser, who also is a pastor at Jesus People USA Covenant Church (JPUSA), has released a new single “All Hail The Power of Jesus’ Name (A Christmas Medley),” which is available as a download at Homes for Heroes Chicago.
The song can be purchased with a donation. All proceeds from the song as well as an album to be released in January, Homes for Heroes, will benefit Cornerstone Community Outreach (CCO), a ministry of JPUSA to homeless men, women, and children. In addition to providing shelter, CCO also offers holistic wrap-around services.
On Homes for Heroes, Kaiser and friends sing old hymns and new songs. The album title refers to the people to whom CCO ministers.
“We call them heroes because every person we encounter through CCO has a remarkable story to tell, every person has had to face countless hardships yet they persevere,” said Jeremy Nicholls, a CCO staff member.
Nichols noted several of the stories of people they have helped such as Daniel, a former convict who was able to get a job and move into his own housing; and Tommy, a Vietnam veteran who had been homeless for 30 years but has been able to move into supportive housing.
