No Outrage over Mayweather’s Long History of Hitting Women
What Floyd Mayweather does to women is disgusting. That he is unrepentant is disgusting. But what’s also reprehensible is that the sports media, which condemned Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson, continues to eagerly hype this fight. Where is the outrage over an unrepentant serial abuser? Isolation Play
Remember Linsanity, when Jeremy Lin came out of nowhere and captivated people who weren’t even interested in basketball? And remember how Christians celebrated his faith? The attention hasn’t been that pleasant in recent years, including from current teammate Kobe Bryant, whose displeasure with Lin has been vocal. So how is he making it through the hard times and relative obscurity? The writer notes, “He begins to break down John 3:30, written out in purple Sharpie: He must increase, but I must decrease. ‘It reminds me to be less obsessed about myself,’ Lin explains.” That hasn’t been easy.
