CHICAGO, IL (February 9, 2015) — The Covenant Executive Board has announced the initiation of the search for a nominee to serve as the next executive minister for Make and Deepen Disciples (MDD), one of three executive minister searches underway as we prepare for this year’s Covenant Annual Meeting in June. The position is currently being filled on an interim basis by Evelyn Johnson. The role incorporates leadership over the previously separate ministry areas of Evangelism, Christian Formation, and Women Ministries.
An overview of the position can be found here.
To nominate someone or to express your own personal interest, please see the instructions and email nomination to MDDSearch@covchurch.org by March 6, 2015.
Additional comments and perspective about the position may also be directed to the same email address. The committee is particularly interested in the question, “What is important to consider related to this position at this time?”
The board hopes to identify a nominee in the second quarter of 2015. The nominee will then be presented to the Covenant Annual Meeting for election in June. The position begins September 1, 2015.
