PENFIELD, NE (January 13, 2015) — A memorial service was held Saturday, January 10, at the Penfield Presbyterian Church for Marilyn L. (Danielson) Dirksen, wife of retired Covenant minister Ralph Dirksen.
Marilyn, 80, died December 31, 2014. She was born February 25, 1934.
The Dirksens were married May 29, 1954. Together, they served churches in Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, and New York.
In addition to her husband, Marilyn is survived by a daughter, Terri L. Walters; and a son, Craig Dirksen.
Memorials are suggested for Covenant World Relief.
We are stunned to hear the news of Marilyn’s death. She was a great friend, and we enjoyed many happy times with her and Ralph in southwest Florida and in their home in Webster, NY. Ralph, we extend to you our deepest sympathies. We shall all miss her, you especially. We shall remember her with fondness.
