CHICAGO, IL (July 4, 2014) — Many Covenanters routinely share links to social media articles and videos with one another that Covenant News Service believes may be of interest to others. Each Friday we post five of them. Following is a sample of those submissions—their inclusion does not represent an endorsement of any views expressed.
I’d heard of artisan guilds and merchant guilds but never plant guilds. According to this article, they are “communities of plants that work together symbiotically.” These guilds that must grow together are a model of how diversity helps everyone. Parker Palmer suggests elsewhere on the site that we celebrate an Interdependence Day.
Then they wouldn’t be tabloids would they? Unfortunately, it’s not just the tabloids.

I read this article on my day off while binging on Oreos and the TV series “MI-5.” Apparently I may have shaved three or four days off my life.
Tim Howard kept the United States in the match it ultimately lost to Belgium, making 16 saves. Fans went to Twitter to make humorous comparisons between Jesus and Howard, who is a devout Christian.
