Couple Celebrates 61 Years of Marriage in ‘Up’-inspired Shoot
The first scene of “Up” was one of the sweetest I’ve ever watched. For all the political, theological, and sociological discourse on marriage, this couple testifies to and celebrates what holy commitment can be.
If the previous link captured the wonder of life with the focus on the intimacy of one couple, these photographers capture the glory of what we are capable of building. When I lived closer to the lake—and was single—I would sometimes drive Lakeshore Drive around 2 a.m. just because it was so wondrous. They also are a reminder that artists are a great gift to us as they lead us to “behold!
The author of this article, which was shared numerous times, writes, “This year I faced one of my greatest fears: planting a church.” So he sought advice from people who already have done it, and he lists the top 10 most helpful suggestions. One of the people from across the country he spoke with was Dan Hill, pastor of River City Community Church, who encouraged him to “Be flexible with how people grapple with your vision.” There is plenty here even for non-church planters.

We diminish the destructive power of certain sins that most of us commit. Heck, we even pervert them into values and write books about how we can live them out, especially this one.
