CHICAGO, IL (March 28, 2013) – A WebEx conversation on how churches can connect the Covenant Kids Congo powered by World Vision (CKC) initiative with World Vision’s 30-Hour Famine will take place at 2 p.m. CST Tuesday
The conversation will be hosted by Aune Carlson of the Department of Christian Formation and Adam Phillips of Covenant Kids Congo.
Many Covenant youth groups have a long history of participating in the 30-Hour Famine. The number of children being sponsored through CKC continues to grow, and funds raised through the 30-Hour Famine can be designated to this unique project.
“We’ve made great strides in the last six months – over 5,000 kids have been sponsored by Covenant churches across the U.S. and Canada,” says Phillips. “But there remains much to do in a country where three out of four of our Congolese friends do not have access to clean water.”
