CHICAGO, IL (November 18, 2010) – The Central Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church has extended the deadline for individuals to submit visual material that can be incorporated into a video about the conference’s history.

The new deadline is January 7.

The video will be shown during the 125th History Celebration and Annual Meeting, which will be held at North Park Covenant Church in Chicago on April 29-30.

“We are especially interested in any photos or videos of church opening services or churches celebrating anniversaries, churches engaged in worship or service, large group gatherings, and ministries with youth, children, and diverse populations,” says Liz VerHage.

The conference also is interested in media of any activity related to church life, including camps, youth groups, and other ministries.

Contributors may submit material in a broad variety of formats – print or digital photos, VHS, DVD, online YouTube, or MiniDV.

The conference requests that contributors send an email containing a “Video Submission Intro List” to inform them that material is being sent. The list should include the individual’s name, contact information, church name and location, and what the mailing will include.

Submissions should be sent by postal mail to Joshua Havens at the Media Center, Evangelical Covenant Church, 8303 W. Higgins Road, Chicago, IL, 60631-2941. A copy of the intro list also should be included.

Photo and video submissions can be returned next March if contributors wish, or they can be donated to the Covenant archives upon completion of the project.
