The West Bank city remains divided. A barrier runs down the middle of Shuhada Street separating Israelis and Palestinians. Only pedestrian traffic is allowed on the once bustling street.
Andrew Larsen is a Covenant minister who also serves as a consultant in Christian-Muslim Relations with the group Peace Catalyst International. He has a special interest in the Mideast, where he tries to capture the conditions of Palestinians living in the West Bank and is planning to make a documentary in the region. The award-winning photographer’s work has appeared in National Geographic.
